MRS. MATTIE BOWERS

DIES IN WACO, JAN. 2

Mrs. Mattie Virginia Bowers, 50, of Eddy, died in a Waco hospital at 4:35 a.m. Thursday, Jan 2.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Wilkerson-Hatch Chapel, Rev. Mr. Terrell and Elder Roy D. Rhodes, officiating, burial in Blevins cemetery, in Falls county.

Survivors: Her husband, Grady Bowers of Eddy; two daughters, Mrs. Ernest Quicksall of Eddy and Miss Betty Jane Bowers, of Eddy; her mother, Mrs. Emma Bertrand, Waco; one brother, Roy Bertrand of Waco; three sisters, Mrs. Inez Battle of Waco; Mrs. Myrtle Crawford of Waco; and Mrs. Hope Lowden of Chicago, Ill; one granddaughter, Ester Ruth Quicksall.

Active pallbearers: Fountain Hargrove; R. O. Wilcox; Willis Wilcox; Elige Broome; Keith Todd; Harold Baker.

Honorary pallbearers: All members of the Pentecostal Church of Eddy.
